YLC Program Info 2019 – 2020

The Summer Social is FREE TO ALL Austin area high school students! If you would like to be notified about this event please fill out this form

There is no obligation to join! Come and learn more about YLC, what we do, how you can get involved and earn community service hours and, meet successful Austin men and women who are leaders in their fields while enjoying social time with like-minded students from all over the Austin area. Meetings are held on Sunday afternoons, 4 times a year. There are no minimum requirements to attend or volunteer.

All the YLC meetings were held on Sunday at Abel’s on the Lake (in the event space upstairs).

2018/19 Meeting Dates:

August 26, 2018, 6-7pm, Summer Social Kick-Off Event, Abel’s on the Lake, with Quan Cosby former UT and NFL football player speaking and the band, The Goo.

September 30, 2018, 5-6pm, Abel’s on the Lake- “Technology and Philanthropy” with Speaker Kathy Terry, co-owner of P Terry’s Burger Stand and inventor of the app In Lieu

November 11, 2018, 5-6pm, Abel’s on the Lake – Matt Reintjes, the CEO of Yeti

• January 27, 2019, 4:30-5:30 pm, Abel’s on the Lake- Editorial Director of News and Public Affairs at KLRU-TV, PBS Austin, Judy Maggio

March  3, 2019, 5:00 – 6:00 pm, Abel’s on the Lake -SaulPaul – A Musician with a Message

April 28, 2019–  3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Tarry House, Awards Celebration event
