Every Wednesday morning (June and July) mimes, magicians, and musicians entertain thousands of children at the Austin Symphony’s Children’s Day Art Park at Symphony Square. Visit the instrument petting zoo, listen to stories under the Magic Oak Tree or try your hand at a special project in the Art Tent. Volunteers from the Women’s Symphony League are busy collecting admission (50 cents a child/ adults free when accompanied by a child), serving lemonade (10 cents a cup) and blowing up balloons. At CDAP children don’t have to learn to appreciate the arts … it happens naturally!
