The
Maidens & Squires program was created to provide an opportunity for young
people to be introduced to the Austin Symphony Orchestra and its programs and
to meet families who share a common interest in and appreciation of music.
Although each child must be nominated by a
Women’s Symphony League member in good standing, the program is open to ALL
Austin
area youth who are currently in the seventh grade. After being
nominated during their seventh grade year and attending two required
educational/social events, these young people will be presented at the Jewel
Ball during the fall of their eighth grade year.
